AGRE’S Guiding Word For 2024
I am a big proponent of having a vision for both my personal and professional life. Over the years, having a sharp vision has helped me focus on my personal and professional goals. Whenever I get off track, or lose focus, revisiting my vision for the year allows me to streamline the things I think about, consider, and spend resources on. I not only write my goals down, but I also actually make a vision board (and this typically is both on paper AND on a private vision board on Pinterest). This includes pictures and phrasing of everything from my health and wellness goals, financial goals, goals I would like to accomplish for/with my kids, travel goals, etc. From there, I usually produce a word or phrase for the year. This year, my personal phrase for the year is “Just have fun with it.” This is mostly because I tend to get too serious about most things in my life, which at times holds me back from enjoying the process.
I wanted to start the practice of having a guiding word, phrase, or theme for AGRE each year. It did not come to me easily, but after consideration the word for this year is “Simplify.” I mostly want to simplify our messaging. We are in an ever-changing, complicated, and different market. It has created confusion, doubt, and stress for everyone including both agents and consumers. What can I do to help? I cannot control inventory, interest rates, etc. But I can help simplify the lives of our clients, agents, prospective agents, or those that follow our content.
This means that as much as I can, I will try to create messaging, processes, and experiences that are as straight forward, clear, precise, and understandable as possible when it comes to what AGRE puts out into the world. Whether it is online content, paperwork, client, and agent experiences, it is all currently being upleveled and simplified for this year. Because life is hard enough, AGRE will simplify things as much as we can for those we interact with. Buyer consultations: we are offering consultations with buyers before house searching begins to make sure they know what to expect and to reduce their concerns. Also, we have hired another Realtor to our team! More information is to come, but we are so excited to announce our latest hire. And finally, we are focusing on providing simple data on our online platforms to help consumers understand the market, rates, and how to make choices that are best for their situation.
